Michigan Indigent Defense Commission
The Michigan Indigent Defense Commission (MIDC) was created by legislation in 2013 to make improvements to the state of Michigan’s indigent defense system. They are tasked with ensuring the state’s indigent defense system is constitutional, fair and cost-effective. To this end, the Commission has established minimum standards for indigent systems.
