ZLS Trainings

The Regional MAC Office has a new case management system called ZLS, which allows our roster attorneys to view their appointed cases, client information, update cases, and invoice for cases and house counsel shifts.  The system launched to all of our attorneys as of November 4, 2024.

To learn more about how to operate in ZLS, use the following training videos:

To access ZLS, go to my.zls.app.

If you need assistance with ZLS, the RMACO hosts a weekly virtual help desk.  Contact our office at regionalmac@dearborn.gov for more information.

CLE Overview

The MIDC Act requires defense counsel accepting cases for indigent defendants to complete continuing legal education courses that are relevant to indigent defense work.

General Policy

Each calendar year, January 1 – December 31, all attorneys receiving appointed cases for indigent defendants through the Regional Managed Assigned Counsel Office must attend continuing legal education for no less than 12 full hours at the attorney’s expense.

Training Must Be Relevant

The training must be relevant to indigent defense work. The three knowledge components mapped out by MIDC are law, scientific evidence and applicable defenses, and technology.

Report CLE Credits

All roster attorneys accepting work through the Regional MAC Office must activate a CE Broker account (MIDC’s continuing legal education database provider) to upload all completed CLE credits.

All credits received through the Wayne County Defender Training program and the Oakland County training program will be uploaded by that provider. No action is required on your part.

If you do not have a CE Broker account, please create one so that you can check your credits and/or enter your CLE certificates. You can access CE Broker at https://launchpad.cebroker.com/
